Using our highly scalable monitoring and optimization platform, we drastically improve the performance of batteries in electric vehicles and grid storage systems around the world. This is why we are currently looking for a student to work on the following topic in form of a master thesis:

Your Role

and YOUR THESIS
This thesis is suitable for students of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering or comparable technical study programs as well as any business-related programs.

• Conduct a comprehensive market research: In the first step, you need to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the pricing models in the market of SaaS products to gain an overview of the potentially relevant models which can then afterwords applied to the field of intelligent battery analysis (automotive and BESS). Part of that analysis is the expectations for growth and how this model can adapt to that.
• Identify competitors and their pricing models: In the second step a analysis of our potential competitors and their pricing structures is conducted.
• Analyse relevant data: Based on the conducted dataset a comprehensive analysis, including state-of-the-art methodical approaches, is carried out. Make clear how the different models compare to each other. Part of that is a bottom-up approach (how much does it cost to do that?) and a top-down approach (how much is worth?).
• Building of a pricing model based on the analysis: Based on the data and the analysis conducted a complex pricing model is generated that can be adapted to different input parameters that are relevant for different use cases to build a structured and easy to understand pricing system.
• Define points of action: In the final step, conclusions are drawn on the basis of the analysis carried out and necessary steps are defined, which must be carried out in the following.

Your Skills

• Experience: Fundamental knowledge of batteries and market analysis is required.
• Know-how: Good Excel skills are necessary. MATLAB or Python programming experience is beneficial.
• Working method: Structured and results oriented.
• Personality: Analytical, pragmatic, team oriented.
• Languages: Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus).
